Carl Antony Plover
Two years in the planning, writing and execution, punk poet Wasps vs. Humans (aka Carl Antony Plover) marked his 50th year at the end of 2016, with his debut novel, 'The Mattress' through Yellow & Black Publishing.
The story is divided into rooms, each with a story to tell, as the narrator walks through the house remembering his friends once housed within its walls.
"You’ll definitely laugh, you might shed a tear, but above all you’ll admire the evocative writing.” (Tony Clayton-Lea, Irish Times)
"He veers from Dylan Thomas-like surrealist reflections to naturalistic, Mike Leigh-style accounts of his everyday life. Failed musicians will love this" (Olaf Tyaransen, Hotpress Magazine)
"His experience comes through in his quirky, very readable style - conversational and dreamlike at the same time." (Des Breen, Evening Echo)
